Tony Hawk Project 8 simply doesn’t offer anything new and amazing. The nail the trick mode is fun to play around with at first, but just gets old too quickly. Then you are basically left with the same exact Tony Hawk games that have been around for years. If you are a big fan of the series, you are going to enjoy the game, upgraded graphics, and few new features, but don’t expect anything dramatically different. If you never really got into the series, give it a rent and check it out, at least you will get a good laugh out of the ragdoll physics! |
| Sweet to the Core |
| |
Animations. All the moves look great and just like they should.
|
| | Environments. Numerous varied environments to skate around in.
| | | Ragdoll Physics. Extremely unrealistic, but extremely funny.
|
| Going Bad |
| | Nail the Trick. New, but gets old too fast.
| | | Glitches. Happens often and can get quite annoying.
| | | Graphics. Upgraded and looking good, but just on par with other next-gen games.
|
| Rotten to the Core |
| | Not Much New. Besides Nail the Trick, there is not anything significantly new.
| | | No Online Multiplayer. None, not even a little!

Ugly crashes, blood, and some questionable content. Other than that, this game is not that bad for kids. |
